I love spiders and find their walk cute. This wasn't always the case, until I was 18 I was "scream and panic and don't reenter that room for 6 hours" afraid of spiders. A weird interaction with a jumping spider changed everything, and I started researching spiders intensely. Fear completely cured and turned into a passion.
actually im pretty sure this is incorrect, this does apply to hexapods to a degree, but aeachnids don't move in a bifricated pattern, rather their pairs go radially inverse to one another.
Could you imagine Richard's reaction to AI and how it might allow anyone to hit a button and do all the hard work he demonstrates in just a couple of seconds.... 😔
Very straightforward & accurate tutorial still. Fun fact: a horse carries 60% of its body weight on the front, while propelling itself from the hind. This balance can effect/be effected by an individual animals conformation, so horses can vary quite a bit in movements
Yes, they showed only the 5 important frames in the example so is easier to understand the importand poses (the keyframes), then shows the final product with all the inbetweens at the end.
Nice! I used it to get my model of a spider moving, I just hooked the legs up to sine waves where downwards motion was accentuated so as to prevent it from looking like the cartoony running thing where the legs are moving in circular motion with there often being no legs actually on the ground.
As an animator obsessed with horses, I’m blown away by the grace and accuracy of theses cycles! I’ll say that in the first one, the hind quarters are too high up and the stride is too short. But the other’s, Im blown away! Its so darn graceful!!
I remember watching james baxters how to draw spirit blueray extra on the _Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron_ movie and that one thing single-handedly ignited my short lived horse phase, as well as my love for animation that lives on today.
Thank you for making this because I'm having trouble figuring out spider legs for a character I'm working on called the big one so this video is going to help a lot
This is great! I needed a good walk cycle for an alien creature with spider like legs, and this is exactly what I needed to see! Thanks for breaking this down!
Supermodel with this walk be like👀🌜🌚🌝wkwkwk.

There's nothing to animate once it is under your shoe.

Wow 😮 thank you
Am I tripping or this horse walk cycle has actually 8 frames and not 5 as shown?

Many thanks!
It is important that this be preserved.

well time to get all the stell ball run animators to watch this video 💀
Do you think this could work for crabs? They also have 4 sets of legs.
